Week 16
Hello BCS Community!
We had an amazing week together at Bridport. Classrooms were wrapping up units, and celebrating their successes in the first half of our year. Some highlights were:
- 5th graders being leaders at Gifts for Giving and helping the school go on a trip around the world snacking and crafting from 10 different countries!
- K/1 being engineers and designing a sleigh for Pigeon to drive down Mount Mo.
- 2nd graders cozy on PJ day and enjoying time together.
- 3/4 created a winter mural, and using their Spanish vocabulary knowledge to label its different parts.
- PreK decorated gingerbread men made reindeer that are the same size as them!
I hope everyone has a joyful holiday, and restful break.
See you in 2025!
Jenny
Things to Know at BCS
Dress for the Weather
Please make sure your child has all outdoor gear everyday (snowpants, coat, boots, hat, gloves). It is also a good idea to pack extra socks in backpacks as our feet get wet easily this time of year!
Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival at BCS begins at 7:40 and ends at 7:55. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time!
Please take care during these busy times of the day to ensure safety of students at they are getting out of cars, getting onto busses etc. If you are dropping off or picking up- stay in line until it is your turn to pull up.
We appreciate your care and attention to keep BCS safe!
A Focus on Kindness
When we return from break, we will be focused on kindness as a whole school for the month of January and Bridport will be joining hundreds of other schools in the Great Kindness Challenge January 27th-January 31st.

Bridport Shirts!
Today all BCS K-5 students received a brand-new BCS shirt from the FOBCS. This shirt is for them to keep and wear! There may be days where we all wear our shirts to school (all school field trip, spirit day or special event) and we will give plenty of notice.
We hope that as the years progress and students may grow out of these shirts we can do some switching so all BCS kids continue to have a shirt that helps connect them to our community.
Thank you FOBCS!
