Spring Clothing
Weather permitting, children will be outside for recess.
- Dress in weather-appropriate layers
- Be prepared with a spare change of clothes and/or shoes in student's backpack
- Write your child's name inside jackets and other personal belongings
- Check our lost and found located by the cafeteria for any missing items
As the seasons are changing, before you get rid of clothing your child has outgrown, please consider donating to Tussing Elementary's clinic.
We are in particular need of bottoms, especially, stretchy leggings, and sweats or athletic pants.
Please remember to wash and return any clothing that your child has borrowed from the clinic.
Wellness Wednesday
The Mobile Clinics will be at Tussing on Wednesday, April 10, and Wednesday, May 8.
Flu shots and other vaccinations are available!
- Complete the below forms to take advantage of these health services.
Everyone is welcome to participate!
- If you have insurance, it will be billed accordingly.
- If you do not have insurance, all services are free of charge.
Flu Season
It is not too late to get a flu shot! Check out the Wellness Wednesday information below.
Please encourage hand washing and sanitizing as much as possible to help contain the germs; stay healthy everyone!
Emergency Communication
Please use the following to access Infinite Campus or complete an Infinite Campus Help Desk Ticket for further assistance.
Required School Fees
If your student has any outstanding school fees, the billing statement was attached to his/her third quarter grade card.
All school fees must be paid prior to the end of the school year. If not, your student's final grade card will be held.
The preferred method of payment is by logging into the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. While schools accept a check or cash, paying via the Parent Portal ensures there is a record of payment (and that students do not misplace a check or cash).
- Kindergarten: $19.00
- First grade: $17.00
- Second grade: $17.50
- Third grade: $22.00
- Fourth grade: $22.00
Where applicable, the cost of student planners is included in school fees. Families who are financially unable to pay for necessary materials should refer to Board Policy 6152.01 regarding fee waivers. Applications are available in the school office. Failure to pay school fees will result in school records being held until payment is received.
Project MORE Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are greatly needed. All are welcome. Help a child read today!
This is a wonderful opportunity for older students (high school and junior high students) to achieve service hours and gain experience helping others.
Please contact Mrs. Cruse (jessica_cruse@plsd.us) for more information.
Story Time Videos
In honor of the Book Fair last month, various Tussing staff members have recorded themselves reading bedtime stories. Check out the videos on the PTO Facebook page @PTOTussing.
