Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.

January 10, 2025
It was good to have 2.5 days with our students, and we're hoping for 5 full days next week! We are getting back fully into our learning routines and are hopeful for a consistent week next week.
We celebrated Team BCPS Day on Thursday - thank you for those who supported by dressing your kiddo in blue! We have another spirit day coming up with a Lutherville Lab Spirit Day on Friday, January 17th. Staff and students should wear LL wear or colors for our school.
Looking ahead, we are nearing the halfway point of the year with the close of the second quarter on January 24th, in two weeks. This is a great time to be checking your students grades and supporting their continued growth with reading time at home and practicing math facts, reading analog clocks, and encouraging their continued growth. We'll celebrate our students with a Mid-Year Celebration at the end of the quarter.
We are again hiring for an Additional Assistant (sometimes knowns as an Aide for students). This role supports students whose needs defined in their IEP calls for such support, follows our school schedule, and offers the reward of making a significant difference in a child's life. More information can be found in this posting. If interested, please call the school at 443-809-7800 or email chart2@bcps.org.
Enjoy the weekend!
In partnership,
-Mr. McComb

BCPS Message Regarding Inclement Weather Plan
Please see the message below that was sent to BCPS Families on Wednesday, December 4th:
As we head into the winter months, we want to share important information about our Virtual Inclement Weather Day Plan for the 2024-2025 school year. The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is providing local school systems with the option to repurpose inclement weather days as virtual school days. MSDE has approved BCPS' 2024-2025 Virtual Inclement Weather Day Plan. Our plan is to transition to virtual school days after three inclement weather closures.
After those three full-day closures, when inclement weather is forecasted, families will be notified if BCPS will transition to virtual learning for that day. Students will be reminded to bring devices, chargers, and other instructional materials home. Staff will also be asked to prepare lessons and materials.
