The Copeland PTO Newsletter
President's Corner by Cree Sanford
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break. We have a lot of fun events taking place during the second semester at Copeland.
Coming up on January 31st, from 6:30-7:15 we will have our PTO Mix & Mingle. The Mix & Mingle will be an opportunity for people to sign up and volunteer for some of the various positions and activities we have coming up this semester and next school year. The mix and mingle takes the place of the former spring brunch. Light snacks will be provided.
Also, coming up this semester, in February, 2nd grade will attend their field trip to Minute Maid Park and our Terrific Third Graders will have their music show. We have some very talented students here at Copeland so don’t miss it! We will have our Spring semester fundraiser, Boosterthon BookFit, in late April – early May, and the First Graders music show and numerous 5th grade activities in May.
Thank you so much to our volunteers for the time and energy that you spend helping to make Copeland a great school. Your contribution, no matter how big or how small it may be, really does make a difference. If you haven’t had an opportunity to volunteer, there are numerous events during the second half of the year that require a lot of volunteers. The quickest way to get involved is to contact your Homeroom Coordinator.
Thanks again for all you do for our school! Please contact me cree410@yahoo.com if you have any questions regarding PTO.
