St. John School - Empowering for Excellence
Dear St. John School students and families,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and took some time to recharge and rest. Our leadership team has been working very hard all summer to ensure that we are fully prepared for the 2024-2025 school year. You all should have received an email from your homeroom teacher introducing themselves.
We have many new families that are joining our school. Thank you to all of our returning families for extending a warm welcome to our new community members and helping them navigate the school year.
The school year is very quickly approaching. Our first day of school is Monday, August 19th
(12:30 pm dismissal; No Extended Care). Gates will be open and we will begin admitting students at 7:45 am to the outdoor assembly benches. Please note that parking in the yard will be reserved for our TK/K families. Please park on the street if you'd like to join us. The entire school will pray together at 8:15 am in the gym. All Welcome!
Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 is also a 12:30 pm dismissal. Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter for important information regarding the new school year. Please ensure to update your profile on SchoolSpeak.
The first day of school will be an orientation day for all of our students. Our protocols and procedures will be covered that day. During the first few weeks of school, teachers will focus on building a class community by helping our students feel engaged and comfortable.
Extended Care 1st week of school: There is NO extended care on the first day of school. Extended Care is available starting the second day of school- August 20th (12:30 pm Dismissal) Prior registration is required. Learn more about our Extended Care Program here.
Lunch: Ms. Fabi will continue running our wonderful in-house lunch program. There is no lunch option Monday, 8/19, and Tuesday, 8/20 (12:30 pm dismissal).

Health and Safety
Health and Safety
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Health Screening: All staff/students must screen for symptoms at home and stay home if they feel sick. Contact the school immediately, even on a non-school day if your child has any of the following symptoms or tests positive for COVID19:
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, headache, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or experiences change in their ability to taste or smell in the past 10 days.
Masks: Masks are optional and may be worn by all students/adults on campus indoors and outdoors. Thank you in advance for respecting each other's health choices.
Hygiene: Proper hand washing techniques and the use of hand sanitizer will be taught and enforced.
Clean Environment: Every classroom will continue to be ventilated. Daily cleaning of the school will continue.
Referral Incentive
We love our St. John School community and feel that our parents and families know us best. Our school has thrived when current families have referred their friends/acquaintances to us.
Referral Incentive: Refer a family to us! If they enroll- your family will receive a $250 tuition deduction per newly enrolled student. We have just a few more spots available in most grade levels.
