A Message from Ms. Piezas
Hello Corvallis Community,
We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow at 4 pm. You will get to meet your teachers and eat ice cream.
I am outlining the first-day procedures below. Also, all days this week everyone has a 1:30 dismissal.
On Tuesday, August 13th we have our Ice Cream Social. You get to meet your child's teacher. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten will have their rooms open for a preview and some information. You will be able to visit your students' first through fifth-grade classrooms on August 28th at Back to School Night.

All students 1st-5th grade will go to the cafeteria or blacktop where their teacher will be waiting for them. There will be adults to guide any students who get lost. Parents are not able to come onto campus at dropoff.
TK and kindergarten students you will drop your student off at the TK/Kinder gate. They will sit with their teacher and their classes. Parents aren't able to come through the gate onto the campus.
Every year there are a few students who cry at the beginning of school. We find the best way to deal with this is for the parents to leave as quickly as possible. We are pros at getting children calmed down and into class. I promise their tears are all for you. They perk up and join the class within five minutes, most times within 30 seconds.
Pick up
Do not park or leave your car in the U driveway or park in the bus zones. This creates unsafe conditions for our students. If you need to park use the visitor spaces or park on the street.
1st
Your child will be seated with his/her/their class in front of the school.
2nd-5th
You child will come out of the gate next to the cafeteria and wait for you there.
TK & Kinder
You will pick up from the same gate where you dropped off your child.
Join PTA
We need more PTA members! We've all enjoyed the events this year. In order for these events to keep happening we need new and more PTA members. Worried about your language skills? Not a problem, we will work that out. Our students tend to play together during the meetings, so feel free to bring them along. You can email corvalliselementarypta@gmail.com for more information.
