SHS Families,
Congratulations on a fantastic year! To the class of 2025, you have set the bar high in terms of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and school pride. Additionally, the Class of 2025 earned $4.6 million dollars in scholarships this year towards furthering their education.
Listed below are a few of the outstanding accomplishments from this school year:

Please keep an eye out this summer as work has started on the new roundabout in front of the school on the corner of Miller and McKay.

Franklin College Summer Opportunities
CampGRIZ for upcoming 5th-10th graders will occur Monday, June 9th through Friday, June 13th. Students who are eligible for Free or Reduced-Priced lunches and/or 21st Century Scholars can attend the camp at no cost. Transportation support and after-camp childcare are available. Flyers in English and Spanish are attached.
Volleyball Camp
Franklin College’s Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams will be hosting multiple youth athletic camps from July 7th through July 12th. More information on the attached flyer.

Blue River Community Foundation Summer Scholarship Cycle Workshop
Rising Seniors, it's never too early to begin planning for your post-secondary future. The Blue River Community Foundation (BRCF) is hosting a summer workshop to assist you with college scholarship applications, interviews, and much more. This workshop is FREE to all 2026 high school seniors. Learn more and register for one of the workshops using this link.

It's time to photograph seniors for the Class of 2026! Picture dates are June 18th and 19th at Shelbyville High School. Follow the "How to Schedule at the School" step-by-step instructions below on how to schedule senior portraits. These photos will be used in the Senior section of the yearbook. Lunchroom Information
Application for Free/Reduced Lunches and Fees
The school meals program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Meal benefit applications will not be available until July 1*. Households are encouraged to apply before the start of the school year to avoid unpaid meal charges. Students who are not approved for free or reduced-price meal benefits before the start of the school year will be classified as paid status and meal charges may begin to accumulate starting the first day of school.
