Carus School News
Dear Carus Families,
Happy February! As we enter a new month, I look forward to seeing what learning, community building activities, and experiences it will hold.
February is a time when we celebrate love, friendship, and kindness. It is a month filled with opportunities to show appreciation for one another and to spread positivity within our school community. We are excited to get to kick off next week by celebrating our wonderful school counselor with a week of appreciation dedicated to her. If you haven’t met our amazing Guess Watson, we couldn’t do our day-to-day without her! She has quickly become a pillar of our community since joining our Carus family this year.
I encourage you to stay engaged with your child’s education and take advantage of the resources and opportunities provided by the school. Look for report cards to come home next week, this can create a great home-to-school connection and provide an opportunity to talk to your child about the learning they are doing in their classroom. Additionally, I would like to remind you of the importance of regular attendance and punctuality. Attending school consistently and arriving on time sets a strong foundation for academic success.
Warm Regards,
Nicole Goff
Carus Principal

- She became a great aunt at the age of 13
- She has 2 cats
- Her favorite place is Disneyland
- Her favorite color is pastel yellow
Breakfast is a good thing!
When students need to take achievement tests, schools strongly urge them to eat breakfast first on testing days. Why? Because we know that when students eat breakfast, they perform better and are better able to concentrate. Yet on “normal” days, many students fail to eat breakfast; they’re too busy, too tired, or just don’t know what to eat.
Let’s help students to perform better every day, by making sure they eat a healthy breakfast at
home or at school.
