Hi WMS Families,
We will be starting the mandatory screenings during the month of March. Please review the information below. 7th grade parents- a recent physical is required to be on file by the state. This physical must be dated after 9/3/23. Please either email to me or have your student drop it off at the Nurse's office. Thank you!
Mandated State Screenings - Hearing, Vision, Postural, & SBIRT
In March of 2025, the state mandated screenings will begin......
7th Grade Screenings:
Vision
Hearing
Postural
SBIRT
6th & 8th Grade Screenings:
Postural
Postural screenings are now done as an OPT IN process. You should have received a letter detailing this change from our department head, and I have also attached it below. If you would like your child to have a scoliosis screening in school this form will need to be signed and returned.
SBIRT screening remains an OPT OUT process. Information detailing this screening along with the consent form has also been attached below.
These screenings will occur during your student's PE/Health class- please have girls wear appropriate attire (sports bra) for the postural screening portion of the test..
If you choose to have your student(s) opted out of these screenings please notify me in writing via email.
