Happy Sunday, Bobcats!

Looks like we made it through the heat! Thank you all for your understanding as we will always keep the student's health a priority. We are in constant contact with our Student Community Services team updating us on all things weather, health, and safety related.

If you joined us last Friday at our Ice Cream Social, we hope you had a great time hanging out with CHE families and had any of your questions answered regarding PTA or any school related issues. Thank you to the PTA for putting on a great social get together.

Thank you to the parents who have thrown their hat in the ring to be a part of the decision making process for Chapman Hills. I now need everyone's help to complete the voting process. Please use the link below to cast your ballot for our newest 24-25 SSC members.

PTA is currently selling emergency kits that you can purchase directly from the PTA website. If you ordered through PTA, your child's emergency kit will be delivered directly to Chapman Hills. If you would like to create your own emergency kit, the following items are what we recommend to place inside a gallon ziploc bag:

Many of you have noticed that when you come to the office, you will see that community members must be "buzzed" in. Please continue to use the doorbell and listen for the doors to unlock. I'm excited to have this upgraded locking mechanism and camera system to see who is at our door as it adds one more layer of security to our school.

We are looking for a member of our community to represent Chapman Hills as the District Advisory Committee member. Here's an excerpt of what the DAC does:

The District’s Strategic Plan and Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) calls for more intensive support to parents for student achievement and engagement through the District Advisory Council (DAC)

• Meets compliance for Title I/State Compensatory Education (SCE) parent advisory council

• Involves parents in the planning, development and evaluation of Title I and SCE programs and services in the District

• Serves as the District LCAP Committee

Responsibilities: Learn about state, federal regulations and provide input Discuss academic programs and services Share effective practices from school sites Strategize to increase parent involvement and engagement Provide recommendations to district administrators and the Board of Education

The committee meets 4 times a year, 9:30-11:00 at the District Board Rooms

Bobcat No Fuss Ends on September 30th. Just two more weeks remaining. Any amount is helpful! Thank you for supporting the programs at our school - the kids truly benefit from the variety of experiences.
