Principal's November Message: Focusing on Safety
Dear Eustace Middle School Families,
As we enter November, our focus remains on ensuring a safe, supportive environment for our students, staff, and families. With the days getting shorter and the holiday season approaching, we’d like to remind everyone of a few key safety measures to remember at school and home.
1. School Arrival and Dismissal:
Please continue to use designated drop-off and pick-up zones and follow the instructions from our staff to keep traffic flowing smoothly. Drivers, remember to stay alert, avoid using cell phones, and watch for students in crosswalks. Students walking or biking should use sidewalks and crossing guards when available.
2. Cyber Safety:
With increased screen time and online interactions, especially as students work on projects or connect with peers, digital safety is crucial. Please remind your children about the importance of keeping personal information private, not sharing passwords, and reporting any suspicious online behavior to an adult. We also encourage open conversations at home about responsible social media use and cyberbullying prevention.
3. Emergency Drills:
This month, we’ll continue practicing our routine emergency drills. While these can sometimes be unsettling, we encourage students to approach them as part of building a safe school environment. Please contact our office if you have any questions about our drill procedures.
4. Seasonal Health Precautions:
As cold and flu season approaches, let’s work together to keep our school community healthy. Handwashing and covering coughs are simple but effective ways to prevent the spread of illness. If your child feels unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover fully before returning to school.
Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping Eustace Middle School a safe and welcoming place for all our students. We are grateful for your partnership and wish everyone a safe and happy November!

Theme of the Month: Thankfulness, Respect, Kindness, and Positivity!
Hello, students and families!
As we move into November, it’s the perfect time to reflect on values that can create a warm and welcoming school environment. Let’s focus this month on thankfulness, respect, kindness, and positivity – qualities that help us grow, build friendships, and spread joy to those around us.
Thankfulness: Embracing Gratitude
Take a moment each day to think about something you’re thankful for – it could be a friend, a favorite subject, or even a small moment that made you smile. Showing gratitude, whether by saying “thank you” or writing a kind note, can brighten someone’s day and make you feel happier, too!
Challenge: Try keeping a “Gratitude Journal” where you jot down three things you’re thankful for every day. Not only will this help you stay positive, but it’ll also help you notice the good things around you!
Respect: Showing Care for Everyone and Everything
Respect means valuing others' opinions, feelings, and personal space. Respectful students create a safe and supportive school environment. Let’s work on speaking kindly, listening to others, and taking care of our shared spaces.
Tip: Practice listening without interrupting. Show respect by being fully present when someone is speaking. It’s a great way to make others feel valued!
Kindness: Small Acts, Big Impact
Being kind is one of the easiest ways to make our school a happier place. Whether it’s holding the door, giving a compliment, or simply smiling, every act of kindness counts. Remember, kindness is contagious – one small act can inspire others to do the same!
Kindness Challenge: Try doing one kind act each day. It could be for a friend, a teacher, or even someone you don’t know well. Let’s spread kindness all month long!
Positivity: Seeing the Bright Side
A positive attitude can make a huge difference in how we handle challenges and interact with others. When things don’t go as planned, try looking for the silver lining or focusing on what you can learn from the experience. Positivity isn’t about ignoring difficulties but approaching them with a hopeful mindset.
Positivity Practice: When faced with something tough, ask yourself, “What’s one good thing that could come from this?” Reframing challenges can help you see them as opportunities to grow.
Let’s work together to make our school a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and uplifted. Wishing you all a November filled with gratitude, kindness, and joy!
- Mrs. Corder
As we nurture our students' growth, it's essential to emphasize the importance of kindness in our daily interactions. Please take a moment to talk to your children about the power of their words and the impact they can have on others. Encouraging them to think before they speak can foster a more compassionate environment, helping them understand that kindness goes a long way in building friendships and creating a supportive community.
Additionally, remind your children that what they say should be both helpful and true. Teaching them to express themselves thoughtfully can empower them to communicate effectively and respectfully. Together, we can cultivate a culture of kindness and understanding, ensuring our school is a place where everyone feels valued and heard. Thank you for your continued support in this important mission!
The dress code is vital for maintaining a respectful and focused educational learning environment at EISD. It not only promotes a sense of unity and equality among students but also prepares them for future environments where dress codes are often expected, fostering habits of presentation and professionalism that are valuable beyond school.
We kindly request your support in ensuring that your child follows the dress code guidelines outlined in the school handbook. Please take a moment to review the dress code policy with your child to guarantee compliance throughout the academic year.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or require clarification regarding the school's dress code policy. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Parents,
We kindly ask for your support in ensuring that your child adheres to our cell phone policy. It is important for students to remain focused during school hours, and the policy helps minimize distractions in the classroom. Please remind your child of the importance of following these guidelines. We truly appreciate your continued support and cooperation in helping us maintain an environment conducive to learning.
During the school day, phones must be turned off, and other non-school issued electronic devices (air pods) should be put in backpacks. Violations of this will result in the phone being confiscated and sent to the office.
First Offense- The student will receive a write-up and a warning and may pick up their phones at the end of the day.
Second Offense- This will result in a write-up and a $15 penalty, and the parent or guardian needs to pick up the device at the end of the school day.
Any further violations can result in the same penalty as the second offense but can include further disciplinary action, including but not limited to revocation of all phone privileges while at school.
Student's may only have their phone during lunch if allowed by the admin on duty.
It Takes A Team To Cultivate Young Minds
Regular attendance is vital to your child's success in school. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged, keep up with classwork, and develop essential skills for their academic growth. When students miss school frequently, they may fall behind, which can impact their learning progress and confidence. We ask for your continued commitment to ensuring your child attends school regularly, as every day of learning makes a difference. Together, we can help your child reach their full potential.
Thank you for your support.
