VANWAGNEN NEWS
We invite our community to the Hope Run event this year that is scheduled for Friday, May 10th. This event is so special to our district every year. The funds raised over the years have been donated to the American Cancer Society and has made a positive impact. The Leadership Class at Columbia Central High School is hosting the event this year with a goal of raising $10,000.00.
There are several ways to contribute to the event. A packet of information was sent home with your child recently providing these options:
*You may provide a picture of a loved one who has lost, are still battling, and those who
have won their battle with cancer. The cost to have your photo included is $5.
*Luminary paper bags can purchased for $5 to dedicate to a special family member and will be displayed around the track during the Hope Run.
*Relay Feet are being sold for $1 and will be displayed in your child's school.
*Students also have the option of hair donation through the Pantene Beautiful
Lengths program. For more information regarding this you can visit their
website www.pantene.com.
Please feel free to email the Hope Run committee with questions at hoperuncchs@gmail.com.
This day is so memorable every year for students and staff. Please join our district in honoring our loved ones and helping the fight against cancer together. The event begins 8:50 am at Columbia Central High School gymnasium.

Highlights from our Girls on the Move Program
We had a wonderful Girls on the M.O.V.E. “Mentor-Up” session at Columbia Schools on Tuesday! Our topic was “Positive Body Image and Self-Acceptance” and our special guest and role model was Yoga Instructor, Ms.Lisa Krejcik from Samadhi Yoga Studio .🙌🙏🙌 Lisa is also an educator and teacher. She offered tools and “Exceptional Behaviors” for the girls to use to help accept themselves and build a positive body image from the inside out!
It was an awesome session and the girls loved it!💜💫💜 Thank you so much, Lisa, for joining us and for your dedication to our young ladies!🙌 🙌🙌
👉We’ll see everyone again for the new school year on September 24th! This will be our primary mission building workshop and we already have some surprises planned for the girls!👍✅ As always, thank you to all for your amazing support!💫
