Important Message About Food Deliveries
No food deliveries includes:
1. No deliveries from food delivery services such as Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc. All deliveries will be confiscated, and they will NOT be returned to students regardless if they are paid for or not.
2. No food deliveries from parents. This includes items from home and items that parents bring to students.
3. No passing food through any school gates. This applies to students passing food through for other students, as well as parents passing food through gates for students.
4. Students with no period 5 and 6 are welcome to stay on campus to eat lunch. However, they are not allowed to leave to get food and return on campus. If a student with no period 5 and 6 leaves campus at lunch, they will not be permitted to return. Some of these students have lunch passes from the time before IDs were printed indicating no period 5 or 6. These lunch passes are NOT valid for coming back on campus.
All students have access to FREE nutrition and lunch in our cafeteria. There are many different choices for students. Parents, if your child does not like the school food, please make sure they have a lunch packed in the morning BEFORE coming to school. We will not accept food that is dropped off for students, and parents should not be passing food (or any other items) through gates to students.
Thank you for your cooperation in advance. Again, this is a BUSD School Board policy. Please do not put our staff in an uncomfortable position of asking them to break School Board policy.
Reminder About Not Sharing Food for Safety Purposes
Parents and teachers, please have a talk with your children about not sharing food, candy, drinks, and snacks on campus. Students should never touch or ingest anything that is not their own food. Teachers and staff should also not be sharing food with students.
Students, staff, and parents should let administrators or campus supervisors know if they see anything suspicious on campus. They should avoid handling these items, but report them immediately to a supervisor. Safety is our number one priority
