Vision and Hearing Screenings

On September 25th, River Springs will be hosting vision and hearing screenings for 4K, 5K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students and all new to D5 students in 2nd and 4th grade. A team of registered nurses from our school district will administer the screenings.

If your student wears glasses, please ensure that they have them with them on this day. Also, if you would like to opt out of one or both tests, please email Nurse Penny and the homeroom teacher (together on the same email) to ensure that your student does not test.

Classroom Celebration Snacks

We love classroom celebrations and seeing our Navigators so excited to celebrate their friends. If you would like to bring in a class snack, please make sure that the snack is store bought, with nutritional information intact. We cannot allow homemade items into the classrooms as they are not prepared in a commercial setting and a nutritional label can not be provided.

Our cafe staff does a great job in helping with celebrations and can provide frozen treats for a nominal fee. Please reach out Sharon Eargle, Cafeteria Manager, for great ice cream options that can be provided during lunch.
