Principal's Address
Dear SAL Families,
Welcome back from fall break! We hope everyone feels refreshed and ready for an exciting and important month leading up to the Christmas break.
There’s a lot happening at SAL, and we look forward to your participation in the following events:
Post-Secondary Mini Fair on November 27th
Registered Apprenticeship Program Information Night on December 5th
Wizard of Oz Production from November 25th -28th
We’re excited to see you at these events as we celebrate our students’ hard work and talents and provide opportunities to explore their future pathways.
A special shout-out to our Senior Girls Volleyball team as they compete for a provincial title this weekend—good luck, ladies! We’re cheering you on every step of the way.
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent Council meeting yesterday. It’s great to see such engaged and supportive members in our school community.
Safe Driving:
Drive slowly with caution thorough our parking lots. Do not use the roundabout for drop off or pick up.
Let’s make these next weeks memorable and productive!
Final Exams in January:
Students must present photo ID before writing any exam at Salisbury Composite High School.
Thank you,
Mr. Curtis Starko
Principal
Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week
Salisbury & all of EIPS recognized Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week November 18 to 22. This week was an opportunity to remember the impact that bullying can have on a school community and to talk about the ways we can report, support and prevent bullying in our schools.
Students were encouraged to choose to show kindness and respect to their fellow Sabres & to speak up when they see others being bullied. Empowering students to know that they can make a positive difference in the lives of those around them. To culminate the week, SAL celebrated Odd Sock Day on Friday as a simple way to celebrate diversity and embrace our differences.
