Welcoming New Affiliate Carly Ianuzzi, LCSW!
Carly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, brings ten years of experience in community mental health, domestic violence, and rape crisis work, supporting people who are dealing with or healing from trauma. Carly works with individuals navigating difficult and challenging situations, relationships, and childhood trauma, as well as processing the impact of trauma on parenting, with the therapeutic goals of making meaning, finding purpose, and exploring a new sense of self. Carly also specializes in perinatal mental health and the intersection of trauma, the perinatal period, and parenting. Carly utilizes a humanistic approach and modalities like mindfulness, empowerment, DBT, and trauma focused CBT. For more information go to www.carlylcsw.com.
Affiliate Spotlight - Loraine Young, LCSWR!
Pittsford Youth Services, where Loraine serves as Executive Clinical Director, was recently nominated as a 2024 Community Champion for Public Education! This honor was established to recognize area businesses, service organizations, and community leaders who serve as exceptional supporters of local public schools and students.
Loraine was selected by Superintendent Michael Pero from the Pittsford Central School District because of her outstanding dedication to the success of our students and commitment to the betterment of our local public schools through partnership, support and service. She was honored last week at a Year-End Celebration of School & Community Partnership at Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center at Kodak Center.
Congratulations, Loraine, on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for your commitment!!

CEU Trainings
Tree of Hope Counseling, LCSW, PLLC SE CPE, is recognized by the New York State Education Departmentās State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0322. We have also partnered with 716 CEU to offer LMHC CEUs.
Rochester Social Workers & LMHCs: meet your Ethics requirement!
Kara Juszczak, LCSWR, co-owner of Tree of Hope Counseling will facilitate this session.
We will discuss:
- Ethical, professional, legal and clinical boundaries
- The establishment and maintenance of boundaries at the outset of and during psychotherapy including issues of multiple relationships, at- risk patients and social media
- The challenge of vulnerable patients and therapists
- Maintaining clinical creativity and flexibility within the therapeutic frame
- The potential harm and legal consequences of boundary violations will also be reviewed.
*This workshop meets the SW/LMHC requirement for coursework in Appropriate Professional Boundaries, required in each 36-month registration period starting April 1, 2023.*
Groups
Parent Group of LGBTQIA+ Youth and Young Adults
This group is to provide information and resources on all things LGBTQ+ for parents/guardians and allies of LGBTQ+ youth/young adults. We will address any related parenting stressors and find support so that you can better understand and support your LGBTQ+ loved ones.
When: We will meet once a month on the second Saturday from 9-10am. Next meeting date: 5/11/2024
Where: Online
Cost: $20/group meeting. (Reduced fee for more than one person per family.)
