Ridgewood Middle Bulldog Bulletin
April 11th
Hello Ridgewood Families!
It was a great week at RMS!
Last night, we had to dodge some raindrops but were able to get the middle school soccer intramural tournament in at Seckman High. Congrats to all our athletes who participated.
This week our school psychological examiner, Robyn Stoien, was named the Fox C-6 District Support Staff of the Year! Mrs. Stoien is amazing at what she does and always goes above and beyond for our staff and students.
MAP testing will begin in just a few weeks! We will start testing April 22nd - 25th and the 28th through the 30th. More specifics to come next week.
Have a great weekend!

Character Kids Club/Outreach Leadership Training Program Summer 2025
The Character Kids Club/Community Outreach Leadership Training Program is an opportunity for our Fox C-6 students entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade to apply for a chance to work with younger children attending the Character Kids Club summer camps.
The Character Kids Club Leadership Trainee will be taught leadership and job skills as they relate to caring for children participating in CKC programming. The trainee will be under the supervision of a Character Kids Club team member at all times. The trainee will demonstrate what is learned, by leading activities, assisting staff members, and assisting the children in the program.
The training program will allow chosen candidates to build confidence, gain experience on how to apply, interview and take on an employment opportunity. Each chosen candidate will work with a supervisor and a team of staff members at a particular camp. Camp assignments are typically based on the candidate’s interests. Our camps will be located at Rockport Elementary.
This program typically requires a three week commitment. We intend to offer camp from July 7-31, 2025. The training program, if selected, costs $115.00 per week of participation for a total of $345.00 for the summer. The trainee will receive a T-Shirt, name badge, and participate in daily activities and field trips with the entire camp team. The trainees are allowed to be dropped off as early as 6:45 am and stay as late as 5:30 pm to help working parents who may not be available to drop off or pick up during the trainee’s program hours of 8:00 am-3:30 pm.
If you are interested in this program, the Arux on-line platform that will be used, will be available on March 3, 2025. A parent will create an account in Arux, they will then select to enroll their child (you) for the Leadership Training Program. Once you are enrolled, you will then complete the on-line application, upload the documents below, and agree to the terms and conditions in the application.
What you need to be prepared for the application process:
One double spaced page essay: "Why I want to be a Leadership Trainee" (You will upload this in your application)
One teacher letter of recommendation (You will upload this in your application)

Attendance and Activities at RMS
Good attendance leads to academic success! If the kids aren't at school, they are not getting the instruction that they need! Of course, if any student has a fever or is sick we always want them to stay home so everyone can stay healthy. If students are not coming to school for reasons other than appointments (Dentist, Doctor, Funeral, etc.) and sickness on a regular basis (attendance rate below 90%), they will not be able to participate in any of the RMS after school activities or qualify for attendance incentives. Please note that appointments (Dentist, Doctor, Funeral, etc.) and sickness can only be excused if a documentation is turned into the office (Doctor/Dentist note, etc).
RMS Clubs
Now that the school year is in full swing, clubs have begun at RMS! To see what clubs are active at RMS, click here! Some clubs run all year and some are seasonal, so check back periodically for more information!
