What's Happening at Bell
Teacher Appreciation Week - May 5-9th
Bell PTA is planning to provide lunch on Wednesday, May 7th, and breakfast on Friday, May 9th. We would love donations to help make the week extra special. Any donations can be sent via Venmo to our PTA Treasurer, Bart Buhlig (Last 4 Digits - 1989). Please put Bell TAW in the notes.
Thank you for helping us celebrate our Bell teachers and staff.
We Need Your Help
Please support the school by reminding your student(s) that our school policies are still in place. Students need to keep their phones and wireless headphones away in lockers and our school dress code is still in place. The dress code policy outlines mandatory and allowable dress:
Shirt: A garment for the upper body, with back connected to front and over the shoulders with straps or sleeves.
Pants, shorts, dresses, and/or skirts must cover the full buttocks at all times both standing and seated.
To avoid injury and disease, shoes, boots, sandals, or other footwear must be worn on school grounds
Inappropriate messages that reference drugs, sex, alcohol, gangs, profanity, derogatory towards individuals or groups are not permitted.
Some courses may require adjustments to attire . Examples include:
Dressing out for PE
Closed toed shoes in FACS
Various requirements for science labs
Save the Date: 8th Grade Last Day Celebration
The 8th graders' last day of school is Thursday, May 22nd. No other grades attend school that day. Students should plan on a fun-filled day, including a bowling field trip, yearbook signing, carnival games, a barbeque, and more! The fee for the bowling activity is already in the student fee payment schedule online. More details and permissions slips will be forthcoming.
Dismount on Campus
Families: Please discuss student safety if your child bikes or skateboards to school. We've noticed an influx of unsafe behavior on bikes and skateboards around school and on campus. Please reiterate to students to not ride down the center of major streets, be cautious at crossings, and dismount while on campus. Thanks for your support.
Bobcats of the Week
Here are this week’s Bobcats of the Week, as nominated by teachers and staff members weekly from each grade. Students are nominated based on consistent or exceptional R.O.A.R. (Respectful, Optimistic, Accountable, Responsible) behavior. 😊
6th GRADE: Samantha Agre for being Optimistic and Adeline Varn for being Respectful.
7th GRADE: Oakley Hansen for being Respectful and Frank Merritts for being Optimistic.
8th GRADE: Rocco Narro for being Responsible and Luke Loper for being Respectful.
Counseling Corner
ALP surveys
Students with ALP's will be expected to complete their end of year survey about their affective and academic goals this week. Students will receive the ALP email in their student email accounts on Thursday, April 10th.
😍TEAM leader applications will be available on the 2030 Bobcat google classroom on the morning of Monday, April 7th and will close Monday April 21st. The TEAM leader program trains incoming 8th grade students to support 6th grade orientation and transition to Bell as a middle schooler.
😍While we consider grades and behavior and attendance, we are looking for a diverse group of leaders able to be accepting, patient and helpful showing true pride for our school and a welcoming spirit for our learning community.
