A WORKSHOP ON PCB DESIGNING AND FABRICATION HELD AT SURESH GYAN VIHAR UNIVERSITY
DATE:- 18TH FEBRUARY 2016
A two days workshop on PCB Designing and Fabrication which held on 15th and 16th February 2016 for Electrical, E&C Department along with Diploma students. PRIGANIK, Training and Research Centre is ISO certified conducted this workshop. The main motto of this Training institutes was bridging the gap and the training centre was totally involved in 3 distinct business areas.
This workshop helped the students in increasing the skills and confidence about PCB designing and also explore the knowledge of students related to Electronics. It was a good opportunities for students. Students thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. The workshop was well presented & easy to followed. The interactive sessions make the workshop easier to grasp. Learning such professional skills in short time is really helpful for all the students. Open minded young trainers encouraged our students to discuss their problems.
In this workshop students learned about how to design a PCB . They firstly learned to design a circuit on software named as Proteus 7.7 . And how to simulates there respective circuit .And learned to get circuit layout on PCB board. Further this workshop will helpful for student in there respective projects.

Innovation"Electricity collected from the air could become the newest alternative energy source"
Date:August 26, 2010
Source:American Chemical Society
Summary:Imagine devices that capture electricity from the air -- much like solar cells capture sunlight -- and using them to light a house or recharge an electric car. Imagine using similar panels on the rooftops of buildings to prevent lightning before it forms. Strange as it may sound, scientists already are in the early stages of developing such devices, according to a new report.
Imagine devices that capture electricity from the air ― much like solar cells capture sunlight ― and using them to light a house or recharge an electric car. Imagine using similar panels on the rooftops of buildings to prevent lightning before it forms. Strange as it may sound, scientists already are in the early stages of developing such devices, according to a report presented at the 240th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
"Our research could pave the way for turning electricity from the atmosphere into an alternative energy source for the future," said study leader Fernando Galembeck, Ph.D. His research may help explain a 200-year-old scientific riddle about how electricity is produced and discharged in the
atmosphere. "Just as solar energy could free some households from paying electric bills, this promising new energy source could have a similar effect," he maintained.
"If we know how electricity builds up and spreads in the atmosphere, we can also prevent death and damage caused by lightning strikes," Galembeck said, noting that lightning causes thousands of deaths and injuries worldwide and millions of dollars in property damage.
The notion of harnessing the power of electricity formed naturally has tantalized scientists for centuries. They noticed that sparks of static electricity formed as steam escaped from boilers. Workers who touched the steam even got painful electrical shocks. Famed inventor Nikola Tesla, for example, was among those who dreamed of capturing and using electricity from the air. It's the electricity formed, for instance, when water vapor collects on microscopic particles of dust and other material in the air. But until now, scientists lacked adequate knowledge about the processes involved in formation and release of electricity from water in the atmosphere, Galembeck said. He is with the University of Campinas in Campinas, SP, Brazil.

Suresh Gyan VIhar University is organising an event named as "Innovaria" .It's an annual techanical fest of university in which they are covering all the techanical department of Engineering like Mechanical,Electrical,Computers,Civil etc. Number of events will be held from 24th -27th Feb.2016.Around 200+ colleges has been participation. This will be a great platform to show your skills and get rewarded for your talent.
START-UP MELA
Start-Up Mela is a startup event where we want to expand the culture of entrepreneurship all over the youth and aware the students about start-ups. This event will be a part of Innoveria 2016 which is an international youth festival and gets a huge participation. We have added four modules to the event:-
1. Entrepreneur Session.
2. Business Games.
3. Start-Up Week (CEO panel discussion)
4. B-Plan Competition.
Objective of Modules
1. Entrepreneur Sessions:-
Sessions of renowned entrepreneurs who can use this platform to deliver their life experiences and business skills with the students so that student can get to know what exactly start-up looks like and get some inspiration. The motive of including this to our module is to help students think of architecture of an idea and start-up.

Games including money (profit and loss) which can give a perfect image of business to the students is what we call business games. This will help students to gather the courage to implement what they have thought during the sessions.
Game Prototype-
Every student is provided with some amount of cash and a specific time will be decided in which they have to make money out of money. The person who will be making the best out of it will be rewarded as winner.
3. Start-Up Week
Start-Up week is very common concept these days where start-ups and established companies will come to the campus for panel discussions and will be inspiring students. It can help the student to understand how entrepreneurs think and the way they carry themselves.
4. B-Plan
Business Plans where the students can deliver what all they have gathered on their idea. We will be having judges to judge this session where the winner will be awarded and will be given benefits (Like some company guidance).
