We are officially in cold and flu season! 🤧🤮🤢😷
Per recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and American
Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) influenza vaccine is recommended for all persons
over 6-months of age (unless there are medically confirmed contradictions) during
the months of September and October.
Updated COVID-19 vaccinations are recommended for persons age 6-months.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccines are recommended for all adults over
age 60 years, during the 32-36 th week of pregnancy, and infants age birth to 19-
months (provider will determine age of immunization).
Another reminder to please check email, voice messages, and talking points for
messages about missing immunizations.
Colorado keeps breaking heat records! Please remember to send a water bottle
every day for your child, remind them to use chap stick frequently, and to have
layers of clothing.
Changes of clothes: The clinic has an abundance of shirts in all sizes for students
who need a change donated by a parent of one of our teachers. I do not have pants
or underwear for the little ones—under middle school. We do not keep shoes or
boots or jackets for any age. Please make sure your child has a change of clothes
available.
Please let me know how I can help your child.

Dates to be on the lookout for:
~Next PTA meeting is October 8 th 6-7pm and will be available via live
~Skate City Glow and Celebrate will be happening 10/10 to kick us into fall break. Flyer
should be coming home if it hasn’t already.
~Be on the lookout after fall break for sign ups to feed the K-5 teachers for parent teacher
conferences on 10/30 and 11/7
~There will be info for another passive fundraiser coming soon. It’ll be similar to King
Soopers
Phoenix Feathers:
This year we have decided to create a golden feather to celebrate our teachers and staff. If
you or your student would like to buy a feather for a staff member they will be $5 and can be
purchased at any event we are at as well as on the school website under PTA. Yearly our
PTA spends a starting average of $60 per student to provide all or part of your signature
learning experiences at Quest. This includes fieldtrips, student enrichment, and
transportation to name a few. By purchasing a feather for $60 you help chip away at our BIG
goal.
We Have A Facebook Group!
Do you wonder what is going on at school? Curious about upcoming events? Wanting to
volunteer during fundraisers but not sure how? This is your one stop shop for how to
support the school, fundraisers and overall school community. Please be sure to answer the
questions when you ask to join. It's a way that we ensure that our Quest information stays
within our community.

***Be on the lookout for more passive opportunities in the future!***
PTA Meeting: Our next meeting is October 8th from 6-7pm with a live stream available via
Facebook. Thank you to all that joined us last month in person and survived our technical
difficulties online!!! We welcome all parents and support parents to join us! If you are
interested in voting rights for decisions that affect how we support the school, membership
is $10. You can become a member on the school website under the PTA tab or at any
meeting or event we are hosting. We would love our teachers to be a part of our meetings
and as a thank you for their time we are doing something new by having parents sponsor a
teacher by paying their dues. As the dues goes to the state, we can’t waive it but we had
many parents at the last meeting suggest and offer to pay for a teacher. If this is something
you’d like to partake in please reach out.
A HUGE thank you to all parents and families for all you do to support, grow, and create our
community!

Volunteer for Trick or Treat with Transportation!
BE A VOLUNTEER!
We need chaperones, coaches, team leaders, and more! As you can see we have so much going on for our students that parents can make a huge difference in making sure we continue to offer so much! Our parent volunteers make it so much easier for us to navigate through the school year. If you are interested in volunteering, here is how to get your badge and clearance.
STEP 1: In order to become one you need to complete the Screening Process (Background Check). Click Here
STEP 2: Send Mr. Adams, our Family Liaison an email with a picture of your valid driver's license (front only) and a picture of yourself with a plain background for your badge AFTER you have completed the screening process (STEP 1). Mr. Adams will submit the "Volunteer Approval Form" with both pictures to the Safety & Security Department. Once it arrives he will call you to come pick it up.
