Mrs. Chason's Students🎨
This weekend Mrs. Chason and three of her upper level students participated in the Creative Culture Arts Expo at the Columbia Music Festival Association.
Students Khai Suan, Madison Shipman and Karina Villavicencio painted their interpretation of "heaven" during the fashion show and theatre performance that was occurring on stage. Guests could view progress of their work before, during and at the conclusion of the performance. Well known muralist, Ija Charles, and local congressman were in attendance. It was an event for the stars and we are so happy our students could be a part of this event!
Students will continue to complete their paintings in hopes to sell them post event.

Mr. Cameron's Astronomy Classes
The Astronomy classes continue to explore a variety of Celestial topics. Students
are being inspired to go out and observe the night sky on their own and look for
astronomical events that are happening. Pictured here is the c/2023 Atlas comet
as seen from Lake Murray on the night of October 14, 2024. Pictures provided by
Ethan Calder of the 7B Astronomy class. This comet will not be available to see
again for approximately 80,000 years. Keep Looking Up.
Beta Club Volunteers at Fall Fido Festival
The Dutch Fork High School Beta Club had a fantastic time volunteering at the Fall Fido Festival, hosted by Modern Companion on Sunday, October 13, at Melvin Park in Chapin! Our students helped vendors set up their exhibits, interacted with visitors and their pets, and worked hard from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. It was a wonderful event supporting a nonprofit dedicated to homeless animals. We’re already looking forward to helping out again next year!
