December 2024
Winter Outreach for Ford Families
Every year, the Ford community supports a Winter Outreach for Ford families. We want to ensure that all families have a wonderful winter break / holiday. Below are the sign-ups for our families. Please plan to deliver the items to school on Thursday, December 12th or Friday, December13th. Thank you for caring for our community!
We still have many items needed for children and adults.
Climate, Safety, and Wellness Survey
Please help us build safe, healthy and inclusive schools by taking time to participate in this year’s Climate, Safety and Wellness Survey for LPS Families. This brief survey helps us gather your feedback about the school environment and important issues for students and families. The survey is administered electronically and the results are completely anonymous (no names are recorded and no identifying information is attached to specific responses).
The survey will be open through December 13, 2024. If you have children at multiple schools, you can choose to complete a survey for each school. After the survey is administered, the data will be compiled and shared with each school community. Please visit the LPS website for more detailed information about the survey content.
Please complete the Climate, Safety and Wellness Survey for Families.
Thanks for taking time to provide this important feedback. We look forward to reviewing the information and continuing to make LPS a welcoming and supportive community to all.

Kindergarten Information Night
New Kindergarten Families for 2025
Join us on January 9th, from 5:30-6:30 for Kindergarten Information Night! This event will provide valuable insights into what to expect in the upcoming school year and what a typical day in Kindergarten looks like. This event is for adults only, we hope to see you there!
December Adventure Challenge
Due to our Balloons Over Ford parade on Dec. 19th and the fact that the holidays can get busy, there will NOT be an Adventure Challenge in December.
Counseling Corner
Our PBIS Life Skill focus for December is Making Safe Choices. We make safe choices by behaving in a way that shows you care about others, yourself, and your school.
With the Winter Season coming up, there is so much opportunity for kids and families to spend time together and enjoy! For many kids and families, this is an exciting time of celebrations. For some, in addition to these feelings, it may be a time that feels stressful due to many factors. Because of this, we are sharing some ideas of healthy coping strategies to use for kids (and adults!). As always, our Mental Health team is here to support you and your child. If needed, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
