Make an Appointment
The administrative team is busy supporting students and staff each day. The majority of their time is needing to be in classrooms, PLCs, and present for the students and staff. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with one of them, please either call the school or come in and complete an appointment card. They will get back to you within 24 hours to set up an appointment.
Additionally, if you need to meet with someone from the guidance office, please either call, email, or come in to make an appointment as well. Unfortunately, due to our schedules we are not able to meet on the spot as we all have full schedules in supporting our students and staff.
Thank you in advance for helping us make an appointment by calling, emailing, or coming in to complete an appointment form. We look forward to setting up an appointment and working with you for the success of our students.
Attendance and Tardies
Attendance will be taken the first five minutes of each class period.
Please send in a written note or email to the front office to excuse any absences within 48 hours of the absence for it to be verified. The email needs to go to: bhs-office@bsin.k12.nm.us
In order to try to reduce the number of tardies this year, we will be making adjustments to the consequences in hopes of changing this student behavior.
**If students are tardy to either 1st period (beginning of the day) or 5th period (after lunch), students will be escorted to ISS for the remainder of the morning/afternoon unless a parent/guardian checks them into the front office.
** If students are tardy to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, or 7th period they will go to ISS for the day once they have reached four tardies in the same class period.
Please speak to your student about the importance of being on time and being in class.
Cooler weather in the mornings
With fall finally coming around it is getting more cooler in the mornings. As a reminder, students are not allowed into the building until 7:45 as that is the earliest time we have staff on campus to supervise. Please try to keep students from coming to the building until then.
October 23rd PSAT/ASVAB testing and virtual day
On October 23rd, all 10th grade and 11th grade students will be participating in the PSAT/NMSQT/ASVAB test on campus. We need these students to report to school on time. There will be a modified, check in schedule with their classes in the afternoon.
On October 23rd, all 9th and 12th grade students will have a virtual day. They will need to log into their google classrooms for each class to complete their assignments. This will count as their attendance as well.
Please continue to partner with us and remind your child to follow the school wide expectations in being responsible, respectful and safe. We have had several situations occur already this school year that have resulted from students not following the BOLD expectations. We appreciate your support in reminding students of their responsibilities at school. We greatly value your partnership!
Parking permits
Every student that parks on BHS campus MUST have a parking permit in the vehicle. Students will need to purchase a $10.00 parking permit from Ms. Wooten in the front office. They will need to complete the application in the office as well as bring their driver's license, registration, proof of insurance. Failure to do so, will result in a $10 fine that will need to be purchased along with the permit. Otherwise, they may continue to receive additional fines.
