Joint Mobilization
You have many joints in your body, and they are supported by capsules, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and muscle fibers. These can get injured and may benefit from joint mobilization therapy, which is a type of manual therapy that involves moving specific joints using force and technique. Joe will use his hands or tools to reduce the pain, improve motion, and enhance joint movement. Sometimes, injury, stress, poor posture, repetitive movement, or aging can make a joint swollen, misaligned, stiff, and painful. This can affect nearby muscles, tendons, and ligaments, causing weakness and nerve damage. Joint issues can be underlying factors for other injuries, so consulting Joe Crockett is encouraged to address joint concerns.
Occupational Therapy with Joe Crockett III
Myofascial release
Empowers you to overcome skeletal muscle pain and immobility. By relaxing your contracted muscles, promoting circulation, and stimulating muscle reflexes, this therapy can help you feel your best. With a combination of compression, twisting, and traction maneuvers, myofascial release can alleviate pain and stiffness, allowing you to move with greater ease. During your session, Joe will work with you to identify trigger points and areas of stiffness, helping you to release tension and tightness. By promoting pliability and elasticity in the myofascia, the release can unlock your body's natural ability to heal itself, ultimately promoting pain relief and increased mobility. With myofascial release, you have the power to feel better and live your best life.
