Dear Parents and Students of Our Lady of Perpetual Help,

Giving thanks is an act of justice: giving what is owed to another. It's a powerful way to remind us of how much we need other people and, at Thanksgiving, it's a powerful way to focus on the giver of life and of all good things: God. We give God thanks because it is right and just. We give thanks to God because it's a valuable re-calibration, reorienting the compass needle North, as it were.

So, we give God thanks most of all for the gift of His Son, Jesus. We ask that God bless the food we eat, all who are gathered this weekend to share it, and all our loved ones who can't be with us. We ask this as we ask all things, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

As we are beginning our preparations for our Remembrance Day Ceremony at OLPH School this year, we would like to extend an invite to any member of our OLPH community who has military or similar experience who would be able to participate in the laying of the wreaths portion of our ceremony.
