Last night, we had the tremendous privilege of celebrating the remarkable achievement of Walnut High School's 54th graduating class. It was an unforgettable evening filled with heartfelt tributes and a shared sense of pride. As we bid farewell to our esteemed Class of 2024, we wholeheartedly believe that the cherished memories forged during their time here will forever accompany them on their life's journey.

It was a night of celebration on May 29 for the Class of 2024 at our Senior Awards Night. We recognized students who received academic awards, athletic & performing arts accomplishments, College & University scholarships, and scholarships earned for making a difference in our community.

Celebrating our GLC Students of the Month!
On Wednesday, the Walnut High Community Club provided a free Paleta bar for all of our GLC students of the month for this school year. They were able to bring a friend as well. Congrats to all our GLC students of the month and thank you Community Club!
Lisa Donee and Sergio Hauptmann Ride Off Into Retirement!
As we bid farewell to two of our cherished educators, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and service. English Teacher Lisa Donee and Sergio Hauptmann are embarking on their well-deserved retirements, marked by the joyous celebration at our commencement ceremony last night. The HoofPrint recently published a tribute to Lisa Donee, highlighting her remarkable 33 years of service at Walnut High School and the countless lives she has impacted. Final Class Of 2024 Announcements:
- LIVE STREAM: Last night, we live-streamed the Ceremony. Please CLICK HERE to access the recording of the ceremony. Feel free to share with family and friends.
- DIPLOMA PICK-UP & EXTRA PROGRAMS: If you have not picked up your diploma, feel free to stop by our front office from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Starting next week, our front office will be closed on Fridays.
- PROFESSIONAL STAGE PHOTOS: Grad Images will send proof of the senior receiving their diploma at commencement approximately one to two weeks after the event to the email provided. Please call 1-800-261-2576 if you have not received it by June 14.
- MOVE YOUR FILES ON GOOGLE DRIVE: Google Takeout will allow you to transfer your Drive to another account. You can start that process by clicking HERE. You can also download all your files using this link, HERE. If you have any questions, please let Mr. Richard Kim know. Remember that once your account is deleted, we can't recover anything from it. The accounts are usually deleted within a week of graduation.
Second Semester Report Cards
Report cards will be available on June 15! They will be available both digitally and by hard copy. If you would like to check your Spring 2024 semester grades digitally, you may do so through the Aeries portal. If you would like a physical copy of your Spring 2023 report card, please fill out the form below, and you will be contacted via email or phone call when it is available for pick up.
Career Center Summer Hours
Our Career Center will be available to assist with college applications, work permits and job search resources throughout the summer. Please stop by during our open hours for any guidance or support you may need.

2024 Summer School Update

Seniors: What to Do About Your Remaining Meal Account Balance
As the school year comes to an end, it's essential to address any remaining balance in your meal account. Below are two options available to you:
1. Refund Request
- Visit www.walnutnutrition.org.
- Click on "Refund Request."
- Complete the Refund portion of the form.
- Email the completed form to nutrition@wvusd.org.
- Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.
- Deactivate autopay to prevent further charges.
- Note: If your student intends to purchase snacks or beverages, ensure there is sufficient money in their account or bring cash for purchases.
2. Transfer Request
- Visit www.walnutnutrition.org.
- Click on "Refund Request."
- Complete the Balance Transfer portion of the form.
- Email the completed form to nutrition@wvusd.org.
- Transfers will be processed within 10 business days.
- Deactivate autopay to avoid automatic deductions.

Student Parking
- Complete Student Parking Application
- Download California Driver's License
- Download evidence of vehicle insurance coverage with student listed as insured driver
Once the Parking Application is completed stickers will be issued by Mrs. Markel at the Assistant Principal's office. If you had a parking decal last year, you MUST complete the form again this year and replace your old sticker. You must display the sticker on your car before parking in our lot. You have until the end of the week to pick up your sticker. WVUSD is NOT responsible for any damage or theft of the vehicle, this includes any articles left in it.
