Character Traits for 2024 - 2025
📝🌟 **Character Counts at New Prospect!** 🌟📝
We are excited to continue our monthly character traits for this school year. During the month of August we focused on Respect. As you can see in the picture, we had a great time celebrating our Terrific Kids who was chosen for their Respectful manners.
During the month of September we will focus on Kindness. We will be focusing on the importance of character traits to help our students grow into well-rounded individuals. 💖🌱
Character education plays a crucial role in shaping our children's futures, teaching them valuable life skills such as responsibility, respect, honesty, and kindness. These traits not only contribute to academic success but also foster a positive school environment and strong community values. 🌟
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. Let’s make this a fantastic year of growth and character development! 🏫👏

Dress Code
Dear Parents,
As the weather will still be hot when we return on August 1, we want to take a moment to remind you of the dress code here at New Prospect Elementary School. Ensuring that our students are dressed appropriately not only fosters a conducive learning environment but also promotes a sense of responsibility.
As stated in our dress code policy, shorts should be measured by reaching at least fingertip length. This guideline helps to maintain a standard of comfort for all students throughout the school day.
Additionally, we kindly request that tops worn to school do not expose midriffs or stomachs. Crop tops, while popular in fashion, are not suitable attire for school, and we ask for your cooperation in ensuring that your child's clothing choices adhere to this standard.
By adhering to these dress code guidelines, we can all contribute to a positive and focused learning environment where students can thrive.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the dress code or any other school policies, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Rent the Celebration Rock
New Prospect has a new tradition to add to the positive environment this year. A wonderful anonymous donor provided the Celebration Rock that now sits at the edge of our front yard area. This rock can be rented for $10 for a 1 week period to celebrate student birthdays, great job on interim reports, report cards, or just to say Hello to your child and let them know how special they are to you.
We are excited about this new tradition and love the look it has right now.
New Prospect's Parent/Student Handbook - New Prospect is a Title I School
Please take the time to read through the Parent/Student Handbook with your student so that everyone is aware of the expectations at New Prospect.
