Picture Retakes

October 16 will be school picture retakes. Let your child’s teacher know if your child was absent or you just want to have retakes for your child. Information will be coming home this week. This will be on a Wednesday and we ask that your child wear their chapel uniform for retakes.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, Oct. 31

Make sure you sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences. They will happen Thursday, October 31 from 8:30-4:00 pm. There will be no school but child care will be provided while you are in your Parent/Teacher meeting.

An email has gone out this past Friday that allows you to sign up for teacher conferences.

This year we are again using the online site Sign-Up Genius to help make it easy for you to sign up. Sign ups will be on a first come, first served basis.

Keene Fire Department visits KAES

This week was National Fire Prevention Week. To focus on fire prevention the fire fighters from Keene came to KAES and shared what we can do to prevent fires and what to do in case of a fire. Students had a great time seeing the fire trucks and learning about how the equipment works.

Red Ribbon Week: October 21-25

In just another week it will be Red Ribbon Week. This week is designated to help remind students of the importance of being drug free. We will have fun as we take a stand to not get involved with drugs.

Monday: Proud to be drug free! Wear: Red shirt

Tuesday: Don’t make yourself a target, be drug free! Wear: Camo

Wednesday: Our future is bright, no drugs or bullying in sight! Wear: Future career outfit

Thursday: Team up against drugs! Wear: Favorite sports team jersey/t-shirt

Friday: You have the Super Power to choose, be drug free! Wear: Super hero costume/t-shirt

Middle School Walk-A-Thon rescheduled for October 18

Middle School Walk-A-Thon has been rescheduled for Oct. 18 due to the cold and wet weather we experienced on the scheduled day. The Walk-A-Thon will take place at Elisa Carver Park. If you have additional questions please contact your child's home room teacher.

John 5:39 Memory Challenge

This week Quentin (Pre-K) shared the names of Jesus found in the first seven books of the Bible. Please encourage your child to take the challenge. Let the names of Jesus Challenge draw you closer to your child.
