San Juan Adult Education is pleased to announce that a Multi-level Beginner English as a Second Language (ESL) class will be offered evenings at El Camino High School this year, taught by the EC’s very own teacher, Luz Perry.

Students may register in-person on Monday, September 16, OR Wednesday, September 18, at El Camino at 5pm in Room 38.

Classes will begin on September 23. Details for the course are below.

If you have a senior student who will be graduating this year, we have a parent forum scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at 7 pm in the Performing Arts Center. We will go over all information needed for graduation including ordering caps & gowns, All Night Grad, College applications, FAFSA and much more. Parents and students are welcome to attend.

What is Mock Trial? If you are a student interested in the law, acting, debate, and law enforcement you should come to the meeting and learn more about mock trial!

El Camino has an amazing opportunity to partner with the Aerospace Museum of California for their upcoming annual event called “We Can Do It – Together.” This is a one-day event on Wednesday, September 25th from 10:00 am to 1:45 pm designed to inspire students who identify as girls to pursue STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). The museum aims to provide girls with engaging, hands-on STEAM experiences to encourage and connect them with role models and career opportunities. With only 27% of women currently in the STEAM workforce, we believe this event can amplify, inspire, and leverage our talents to create an inclusive and inspiring environment for young girls across the Sacramento region. When families complete a School Funding Form, it helps us help our students get the support they need. This information allows us to access state and federal funding to provide classroom materials, enrichment, field trips, intervention and extra staff to support our students and families. Only one form is needed per family. This information is confidential and is not shared with agencies unrelated to the school district. The funding form can be completed through the School Funding Jot Form or by completing a hard copy in English, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, or Pashto and returing to the school office.
