Stanwood-Camano District Promise
Every student in the Stanwood-Camano School District is empowered to learn in an inclusive setting and is prepared for the future of their choice.
One Week to Go!
Dear Utsalady Families:
Faculty and staff are having their first mandatory meetings this week, but almost everyone has been involved in trainings, other meetings and prepping rooms for the start of the year! Can't wait to get started!
I wanted to inform you of a slight delay in the release of your child’s classroom teacher assignment for the upcoming school year. Due to very recent additions to our total number of classrooms, specifically the creation of a new Kindergarten classroom and a 4/5 split classroom, we need a little extra time to finalize the assignments.
The updated release time will now be Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the best possible classroom placements for all of our students. Teachers names will be available at that time on Skyward. If you're having trouble seeing it or negotiating that environment, teacher names will also be available at the Booster Club Back to School Play Date on Tuesday from 4:00-5:30. An important note for that event: this is a Booster Club event, so your child's teacher may elect to pop by, but they are not required to be there.
Thank you for your patience and support. We’re excited to welcome your child back to school soon!
Mr. Hanna
A quick refresher ...
Kindergarten Families: PLEASE READ!
As we prepare for the start of the school year, I want to inform you about an important process that will take place during the first two full days of school, on September 6 and September 9. During this time, we will be closely observing our Kindergarten classrooms to ensure that each classroom cohort is optimally balanced to support the best learning environment for all students.
While we do not anticipate many changes, some students may be moved to different classrooms as we make these adjustments. If your child is among those who are moved, you will be notified promptly, and we will provide you with the rationale for the decision.
We understand that classroom placement is important, and we want to assure you that any adjustments will be made with your child’s best interests in mind. Our goal is to create a positive and supportive learning experience for every student.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to start the school year off right. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
