The Loker School Scoop! 3-18-25

Tuesday, March 18, 2025
Dear Loker School Community,
I hope that you are well! I am saddened to share that our first grade Spanish Immersion teacher, Señorita Mohr, will leave Loker School at the end of this school year as she is moving back to Maine. I want to express my deep appreciation for her terrific work in leading salón seis for the last six years along with her leadership in the Loker School Garden and the Educating for Sustainability Committee. I know that you will join me in wishing the best for Señorita Mohr in the future. She will be truly missed in our Loker School community and Spanish Immersion Program but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to work with her. We have just started our search for Señorita Mohr's replacement and I will keep our school community updated on the process.
In addition, I would like to thank you our elementary PTO Cultural Enrichment Committee for bringing such an engaging performance to Loker School last Wednesday morning. The Zuzu Acrobats, a group from Tanzania, did a wonderful job sharing their East African culture, the Swahili language and gravity-defying acrobatics such as human pyramids with our Loker students.
Thank you for your continued partnership and have a great week!
Best,
Brian
