Gilbert PD Advisory: Senior Assassins Game
Public service announcement created by the Gilbert Police Department.
Gilbert PD Advisory: Senior Assassins Game The Senior Assassins game has started up again this school year. Senior Assassins is a game played by students across different schools where the goal is to “eliminate” other players by shooting them with water guns. This game is often played for months at a time and can involve large groups of students. One important thing to note is that this game is not sanctioned by any schools or districts in Gilbert. Important Reminders for Parents:
- Ensure water guns do not resemble realistic firearms.
- Know your teen’s whereabouts and who they are with.
- Ensure students avoid private property and business parking lots.
- Discuss the potential dangers of this game with your teen and how the game may be perceived by others who are unaware of what this game is.
Thank you for helping us spread the word and keep our students safe!

Here are the directions for both the download process and the process to transfer files to a new Google account. The Transfer process requires creating a new account or using an existing personal account to transfer to, and will only allow up to 15 GB.
Academic Speakers for Graduation
For graduation this year we will be choosing two academic speakers. They may or by not be our valedictorian and salutatorian. There will be an application process as we get closer to graduation and they will have plenty of time to prepare speech.
Our valedictorian and salutatorian's will be recognized at graduation.
From our course description book:
VALEDICTORIAN/SALUTATORIAN SELECTION To give all students an equal opportunity to become their school’s Valedictorian or Salutatorian, Gilbert Public Schools will use the following guidelines:
● Class rank will be used to determine the Valedictorian/Salutatorian distinction. In addition, recognition will be made for students who are in the top 1% of their class. Weighted classes will be included when determining class rank and will be identified on a student's transcript.
● Foreign exchange students will not be eligible for the Valedictorian or Salutatorian position.
● Early graduates will not be eligible for the Valedictorian or Salutatorian selection.
● The Valedictorian and Salutatorian must have taken a minimum of twelve and one-half (12.5) credits (25 semester courses) at the high school from which they are graduating and must be enrolled in a minimum of five (5) class periods (full time status) per semester.
● The top 1% of students will be notified at the end of 7th semester. Final Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be selected based on 8th semester final grades.
● Valedictorian and Salutatorian selection does not guarantee a speaker role at graduation ceremonies. Students who are interested in competing for the Valedictorian or Salutatorian position are encouraged to discuss this process with their school counselor.
This is why we need to do academic speakers. It will give them time to prepare.
