Can you believe that it is already time to start thinking about next school year?! We will begin taking appointments for Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025. If you have a child or know someone with a child who will be in Kindergarten next school year, please be sure to call the Thomson office and make an appointment at (810) 591-0911.

Kindergarten Round-Up for ALL Davison Elementary Buildings will take place at Thomson Elementary April 21st - 25th.

If you have younger children at home, we wanted to make you aware that we are now starting the waiting list for Early-5's. Our Developmental Kindergarten program is for children that will turn 5 between June 15th and December 1st. This is an excellent program to prepare young children for kindergarten. It is a full day program that focuses on kindergarten readiness. To add your child to the waitlist please call the Thomson Elementary office at (810) 591-0911.

**As a note, our current Developmental Kindergarten (DK) students do not need to make an appointment as your child(ren) are already completely enrolled as Davison students. As always, please do not hesitate to contact the office if you have any questions. **

We’re seeking input from families with soon-to-be preschool-aged children to help shape preschool options that serve our community. There are statewide developments happening now regarding PreK for All (also known as GSRP). We’ll keep you updated as we learn more from the State of Michigan about funding opportunities for PreK for All. Please note: PreK for All is exclusively for 4-year-olds, but we’re gathering feedback on both 3- and 4-year-old programs through this survey.

Watch DOGS is back! Officer Steve and Mrs. DuPrey are heading up this program for Hill again this year. Dads or father-figures interested in signing up should select 1 day- using the Sign-Up Genius Link. All volunteers must complete a volunteer form and have approval before your scheduled day. I've included a schedule so that you could choose a week day that works best for you!

The next Early Release Day dismissal is on Wednesday, February 26th for Grades DK-12.

Students will be released two hours earlier than normal. All students will continue to have a lunch period on these days. Hill's Early Release Dismissal is @ 1:28 P.M.

The early release days provide the district with opportunities to conduct three-hour sessions of professional development with teaching staff. This will directly impact our students in ensuring that our teachers have been given the tools, training and best practices to deliver the curriculum so all of our students can achieve success.

As a reminder the 3rd and 4th grade concert is on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025. The concert will be at the new Performing Arts Center in Davison. Students need to arrive no later than 6:40pm and the concert begins promptly at 7:00pm.
