Teacher Appreciation Request
A message from parent DJ Pressley
We do not currently have an active PTA, but National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, and we still want to make a special effort this year to express heartfelt appreciation for our teachers and staff.
During the week of May 5-9, our school is planning an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week with lots of contests and treats each day . The theme is Wicked, based on the musical and movie. I'm sure it will be fun and exciting for the students as well.
We have creative ideas and special privileges for many of the prizes and treats, but we could use support with these two areas:
We are hoping to obtain a good pool of $5 gift cards for the contest prizes. These could be to any place you think teachers and staff might like, and having a variety is part of the fun. If you would like to donate one or more, please drop them off in manila envelope labeled "Teacher Appreciation Week." I will give these to administration to use as prizes for the school-wide contests.
Throughout the week there will be times we'd like to stock the teacher workroom, which will be turned into a type of VIP Club. We'd like to kick off the week with breakfast treats, and then fill it with cookies, brownies, or anything you think they might like to see. If you can contribute a tray of something, please sign up on SignUp Genius. There are different things listed for different days. We are grateful for anything provided.
Thank you, everyone, for stepping up and helping us make this a special Teacher Appreciation Week!
