Training Opportunity for High School Teachers
Learn more about Respberry Pi, Python, UX and Web Development. The workshops will be in Knoxville at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center from 9am-3pm each day. Teachers will need to pre-register since we are limited each day to 20 seats. The workshop is open to any TN high school teacher. Maximum of 2 teachers per school each day.

Grant Opportunities
- The Krystal Foundation is ready to help you STEAM up your classroom. The current round is open through October 1st. There are no specific guidelines on grant amounts.
- Greenworks: $1,000, Deadline is September 30th. Grants are awarded for environmental service-learning projects that link classroom learning to the real world. Students should implement an action project that helps design to green their school or to improve an aspect of their neighborhood’s environment. Activities such as school recycling programs, conserving water and energy, establishing school gardens and outdoor classrooms, improving a forest, and restoring a natural habitat are all eligible for funding.
- Association of American Educators Grant: $500, Deadlines October 1st and March 1st. Classroom grants can be used for a variety of projects and materials, including but not limited to books, software, calculators, math manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, and lab materials. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline.
- First Energy Grant: Up to $1,000 for PreK-12th-grade teachers for projects and teacher professional development in the STEM disciplines!
- Toshiba: awards grants of $1,000 for K-5 the deadline is October 1st, also grants for 6-12 with the next deadlines coming up September 1st and December 1st.
- eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant: The United States Army Educational Outreach Program is offering this grant to support teachers and program leaders as they implement the eCYBERMISSION program in the 2018-2019 school year. For educators of grades 6-9. Deadline is October 17.
