Trojan Scoop
October 2024
Welcome back, from Dr. Gonzalez!
It is the end of the first quarter! We have had a fabulous and fun first quarter. It been awesome to visit classrooms to see students and teachers continuing to build community and strong relationships. Instructionally teachers and students are engaging in the learning process working toward mastery.
Our Homecoming game and dance were exciting and fun. Congratulations to all the royalty celebrated at Homecoming. Our Fall sports have been having much success. Remember to come out and support our fall sports! We have a football game during the Fall Break on October 11.
Students take this time to relax and get rejuvenated for 2nd quarter. As you gear up for second quarter remember that the expectation is that students bring charged devices to school and to all their classes every day. Computers are a learning device and students must have them daily to complete assignments in class.
Reminders to please make it to school on time every day. School start time is 8:00. Habitual tardies will be reflected in first period grades. We will be making phone calls home to students with excessive tardies to determine how we can work together to mitigate tardies.
This week is a short week for students, no school on Friday, October 4th for students. For teachers this is grading day so by October 11th you will have access to first quarter grades.
Students if you are in credit recovery continue to work through Fall Break on your Apex courses.
I wish you all an amazing, relaxing and safe Fall Break the week of October 7 - October 11. See you back on October 14th for the start of an awesome second quarter. Have fun and be safe.

This Teen Telehealth program will make healthcare for students more convenient and accessible.
