- Daily Bell Schedule is from 8:10 am - 3:10 pm
- Students can enter the school starting at 7:40 am
- At 8:10 am students need a parent or guardian to check them in at the attendance window
- Items can be dropped off to the office for students until 8:30 am. After 8:30 am items will not be accepted (medication being an exception) in an effort to minimize disruptions to the instructional environment.
- After 2:40 pm students can not be checked out
- Students must be picked up by 3:30 pm
- FCA will meet on Wednesday mornings 7:20 am in room 705
- Parent conferences can be scheduled by the parent or teacher upon request. Please email the teacher to set up a parent conference.
- Hallway lockers are not used at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Gym lockers are used and will be purchased through the PE department.
- Policies and procedures for all middle school athletic events can be found above in an attachment. A parent or guardian is required for entrance to events.
The VMMS Student Handbook and the MCSD Student Handbook can be found above or on the Veterans Memorial Middle School website. The student handbook contains important information related to dress code, school rules, policies and procedures. We highly encourage families to review the student handbooks at home to gain a full understanding of our policies and procedures at Veterans Memorial Middle School and Muscogee County School District.
Veterans Memorial has an official online store for VMMS gear through Thread Mob. New designs have been added including RLTW designs and blackout designs. You can purchase items 24/7 online and either have items shipped directly to your house or you can pick up items locally at Thread Mob. Use the link below to access Ranger Threads! Hispanic Heritage Month was celebrated from September 15th - October 15th at Veterans Memorial. Thank you to Mrs. Dortch and Mrs. Holley for planning a tremendous month long celebration concluding with our school wide assembly.
Congratulations to Mrs. Abners class (1st Place), Mrs. Myers’s class (2nd place), and Dr. McCann’s class (3rd place)! A special thank you to our judges Danny Arencibia, Mimi Woodson, and Kathy Rosado.
Volleyball season is underway. The Lady Rangers are undefeated on the season thus far. Thereare still two home games on the schedule. Make sure to come out and support the Lady Rangers this season!
Members of the VMMS cheerleading and football teams help welcome students at North Columbus Elementary on game days. We love building a community of schools wtih North Columbus Elementary!

Football season is in full gear. There are three games remaining on the season. Make sure to come out and support our football team and cheerleaders.
Members of HOSA and the art club were able to attend the Georgia National Fair in Perry, GA this month. Congratulations to Sophia Smith for placing 3rd in youth art!

Mrs. Scarbrough and her students were filmed by AI4GA (Artificial Intelligence 4 Geogria) this month. The recordings will be used for teacher development throughout the state of Georgia. Rangers Lead Thea Way!
Congratulations to the Lady Rangers Cross Country Team for finishing as the MCSD runner ups! Nora Fuentes finished 2nd overall in the city championship and Aubreigh Chavez finished 6th overall in the city! RLTW
Red Ribbon Week is always a fun week at VMMS. Students and staff participated in various theme days including dress as twins, wearing your Halloween costume, dress as your favorite teacher as staff dresses as students, and concluded with our first pep rally of the year. Rangers Lead The Way in promoting a drug free lifestyle!
The VMMS Choir held their first concert of the year to a packed house at Evangel Temple. Nearly 200 choir students performed and did an amazing job under the direction of Mrs. Fortson!
