Coding with: MicroBIt - Ms. Gogolinski's Computer Class

The assignment was to make an interactive pet using a Microbit (Mini computer). They had to design and code features on their pet. Then they had to use some creativity and then take on the role of a toy creator and market it for sale to Harbro. Some groups even used 3D printed objects to enhance their project! Cool stuff.

END OF THE YEAR EVENTS

JUNE 6th

● 8th grade field trip to Six Flags New England- bus

leaves at 9:00am from NMS and returns at 4:15.

Transportation home is NOT provided.

● 7th grade award ceremony and field day.

Parents are invited to attend the award ceremony

starting at 8:00am.

JUNE 7th

● 6th grade award ceremony and field day.

Parents are invited to attend the award ceremony

starting at 8:00am.

JUNE 12th

● 8th grade awards ceremony starting at 8:00am.

Parents are invited to attend.

● 8th grade promotion rehearsal in the gym 9:00.

● 8th grade field day after lunch.

JUNE 13th

● Breakfast for 8th grade students in the cafeteria

starting at 8:00. Students only

● Promotion ceremony for 8th grade students

starting at 9:00am. Doors open at 8:30am.

Parents are welcome to take their students after the ceremony but we need a note dismissing your students. This can be sent in with your student that morning. Due to the amount of people in the building and number of students being dismissed we are asking parents to send in a dismissal note versus letting Ms. Capistran know after the ceremony. If your student will not be in school on Friday, June 14 please let the office know. We need to have accurate attendance records.
