New Year, New Adventures: The 2025 Expedition Begins!
Dear Cypress Families,
We hope your family is staying safe and strong after the unexpected apocalyptic-like wind storm that swept through, leaving many without power for days. Despite the challenges, we remain open and ready to provide the very best for our students, no matter the weather!
While the air quality has shifted some of our activities indoors, the adventure of learning continues.
This is the perfect time to establish routines that set your young explorer up for success each day. Here are a few key tips to keep your adventurer on the right path:
- Create a Home Base: Set up a quiet, distraction-free space at home with all the supplies your student needs for homework, iReady, and extra practice with math facts or sight words.
- Prepare for Tomorrowโs Expedition: Encourage your child to pack their backpack, lay out their uniform, and fill their water bottle the night before โ small steps to make mornings smoother!
- Prioritize Rest and Recharge: Ensure your child gets a full nightโs sleep so theyโre refreshed and ready for the dayโs discoveries.
- Limit Screen Time: Replace recreational technology like video games and TV with creative outlets such as reading, drawing, or building something new.
As we embark on this new chapter, staying informed is key to navigating the journey ahead. Keep checking our Cypress website and tuning into Cub Communications for all the latest updates and events.
Hereโs to a year filled with exciting adventures, big discoveries, and new milestones for every Cypress explorer. Together, weโll make 2025 a year to remember!
Adventure awaits,
Kazuko Tuttle
