STEM & Middle School
Miss Donovan was able to partner with Mrs Drew on STEM outside our regular STEM time. We went on a hike and learned about lichens. Lichens are a symbiotic relationship with fungi and algae. We practiced identifying them on the trees and plants we passed on our hike.
During STEM, some middle school classes have been continuing their forensic science unit. The Max Cahill Case is introducing them to working in groups, taking detailed notes, and thinking critically. By the end of the month, they will have found out how the murderer got into the building. One 8th grade class just finished up a Morse code jewelry making project. They learned about Morse code, created a message, created a color code for Morse code, and made their own jewelry.
