Principal's Message
We are looking forward to warmer weather this week and the chance for students to get outside for recess this week! They need some fresh air and sunshine. It can get a little sloppy out there with melting snow, so make sure students have shoes that can stand getting a little dirty.
We will be kicking off our first Kids Heart Challenge sponsored by the American Heart Association this week. (You may remember it as Jump Rope for your Heart - it has been rebranded.) We will start with an assembly on Wednesday and students will receive their packets that day. One of the best things? Students do not need to raise money to participate! They will learn about heart (lung and brain) health and older students will have the opportunity to learn Hands Only CPR!
Please be patient with us in the office for the next couple of weeks. Mrs. Hairston, the usual face in the window, will be out and we will be doing our best to keep up with everything she does. It is not going to be easy!
Finally - keep reading with your kids!
Sincerely,
Cara Will, principal
