DCA Weekly Update

Message from the Principal

Season's Greetings, DCA Students & Families,

Today begins our DASD Winter Break. School will resume on January 2, 2025. We hope that everyone gets a chance to rest, rejuvenate, celebrate and enjoy time with loved ones during this holiday season.

January will bring new opportunities for success. Marking period 2 will end on January 21st. Students have about 3 weeks to ensure that they are thriving in their courses. With the help of family learning coaches, teachers, counselors, and administrators, we can support our students in meeting their academic and personal goals. Remember that our DCA Goal is that 100% of students will pass and/or exceed in all of their DCA classes. Let's work together to make this a reality!

If students have overdue work, the Winter Break can serve as a great time to catch up. I encourage you to make a plan for late work and stick to it. If you submit any work over the break, be sure to EMAIL YOUR TEACHER(S). They will not know you submitted work unless you inform them.

Brandywine Virtual Academy Information

Brandywine Virtual Academy (BVA) Partnership - Grades K-6 ONLY

We are partnering with the Brandywine Virtual Academy (BVA) within the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) to provide instruction and teachers for students in grades K-6 who wish to learn online. Students will follow the school year calendars provided by the BVA.

***Virtual Voyagers Club

Virtual Voyagers hosts monthly events where students converse, connect, collaborate, and create. Virtual event themes include family & community events, special guests, game days, specials activities (art, music, movement), and STEM opportunities.
