GENERAL INFORMATION & UPDATES

Testing Center - Student Drop Off

Please do not drop off students for the Testing Center on Fridays until 8:05AM.

The school doors and Testing Center do not open until 8:05AM.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Fall Conferences

Fall Conference information is coming soon! Sign-ups will go live on Wednesday, October 9th and caregivers will receive an email that morning via SchoolMessenger with details and instructions.

In the meantime, double check to make sure you're able to login to your PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Fall Conferences are Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October 24th from 7:30AM-7:00PM.

ETMS Spirit Week!

Grades

Quarter 1 ends this Friday 10/11.
Grades will be captured for eligibility purposes.
To view your child’s current progress, please log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not have a login, or cannot remember yours, please contact ETMS at 816-986-2578 for help.
Each student will receive a report card and GPA at the end of each semester.
Citizenship marks will also be entered and reflective of behaviors in the classroom. Marks assigned for citizenships are S (satisfactory), N (needs improvement), or U (unsatisfactory).

Bison Fan Day!

Our next Bison Fan Day will be on Wednesday, October 9th, for the ETMS Girls Volleyball game.

This is a fun activity where students get to cheer on the ETMS Girls Volleyball Team. Any 6th-8th grade student may sign up.

Parents,

Please fill out the permission form below if your student plans to attend. Students will NOT be able to stay after school if parents have not filled out the form prior to 11:00am on October 8th. However, if we reach capacity number of participants, the form will not accept any more students to sign up.

***Please note, if you are actively participating in another Fall sport or Activity (ex: XC, Football, Musical) that practices after school on 10/9, please do NOT sign up for Bison Fan Day. The expectation is that you fulfill your commitment to your athletic or activity practice. You may NOT join the Bison Fan day after your practice. If you want to attend the Girls Volleyball game after your practice, same expectations are followed to be with an adult for the event.

Students will need to be picked at 5:45 PM.

Our new book of the month will be, Two Degrees. Students interested in reading the Book of the Month should stop by the library to sign up and check out a copy.

All who participate will be invited to the Discussion with Donuts (including a gluten free option) with Mrs. Brown, the school librarian, and any other staff who participate.

Discussion with Donuts will be held Wednesday, October 30th during TRAIL Time.

8th grade TIE Students

8th grade TIE students innovating new board games. They worked all week on ideas, rules, instructions, and the prototypes. It was fun to try and play each other's games and follow the rules.

ETMS Book Fair

The library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair October 21-24 in conjunction with Fall Conferences.
Students will have a chance to browse the book fair during a scheduled time with their ELA classes October 21-22 and may make purchases during that time.
All ETMS families are invited to visit the Book Fair October 23-24 while Fall Conferences are in session.
