Principal's Message
Hello Panther Families,
I want to thank all of our Panther families, teachers, staff members, and PTA who helped make our transition back to school run so smoothly. As a reminder, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten will have minimum days this week (Dismissal: 1:40pm)
To help keep students safe, please adhere to the following.
- Do not bring students to school before 8:15am as there is no supervision at that time.
- No pets are permitted on campus for the safety of everyone. Make arrangements for a place off campus is you are bringing a pet.
- Before school, if a student brings a Starbucks drink/beverages from home, they must drink them at the breakfast tables and not in their designated line.
- No beverages are permitted in the auditorium. Students have been spilling their beverages on the carpet.
- Upon arriving at school, students are to immediately eat breakfast or go to their assigned number line.
- Before school, for student safety, students are not to play in the restrooms or on the play structures, run on the blacktop, or hang around near the backpack carts.
Don't forget on Fridays we show our Panther Pride spirit and wear green and/or spirit gear!
Every Friday is minimum day!

Helpful Reminders:
Parking...
*The first two weeks of school tend to have heavy traffic. If you are able to, it would be preferable if you walked your child to school.
*Please do not park in the top parking lot in front of the office during morning drop-off and after school pick up. Parking is reserved for staff, buses, and our SDC students who have disabilities
that prevent them from walking far distances. We appreciate your kindness and respect for all of our Panthers.
*You may use the lower parking lot that can be accessed via East Palomar Street, you can also park on Juniper Street and walk your child into the school.
Can I change my child's teacher?
Please note that no class changes will be made, except to correct an error, the first two weeks of school. After this time frame you may pick up a form from the front office requesting a class change, however that does not guarantee a class change.
Morning Line Up:
On the first day of school students will go directly to their classes at 8:45am.
ALL students (1st - 6th) will be lining up on the north side of the school blacktop area. Each class has been designated a number, students will line up quietly and read a book, if possible, while they wait in line. Our focus is to keep students safe and prevent them from getting hurt, therefore there is no running around, playing games, playing on the play structure, etcetera. Younger siblings/friends are also to follow the same expectations. TK and Kinder students will sit at the blue lunch tables outside by classroom teacher. Mrs. Barnhill, Mrs. Ayer, and Mrs. Wahlroos will provide parents with more information.
For student and staff safety, parents/family members are not permitted inside the school building. Once you drop off your child you will need to walk around the school to exit the campus. The same will apply for the afternoon pick up. Should you need to go inside the school, please check in with the front office to sign-in and receive a visitor's pass. All unknown individuals without a visitor's badge will be asked to sign-in or leave the campus.
Parent and Student Handbook
Please ensure to read through the Parent and Student Handbook, many of your questions will be answered by the handbook.
Cell Phones
For safety purposes, the expectation is all cell phones and electronic devices are to be turned off and in the student's backpack the moment they step foot on campus.
