Five Good Things in Spring
October 13, 2024
From show-stopping performances to eye-popping visual arts, our students are bringing all the talent this season! The Fall Performance Showcase kicked off in September and runs through November, offering a little something for everyone. Whether it's dazzling audiences with The Wizard of Oz or leaving us speechless at marching band concerts, our students are wowing the community and inspiring the next generation of performers. The final events are just around the corner—don’t miss out on all the magic!
The girls’ cross country team from Spring High School raced their way to an incredible second-place finish at the district meet, proving that they’re just as fast as they are fierce! With determination in their stride and some serious teamwork vibes, these athletes gave it their all, leaving the competition in the dust. From early morning practices to crossing that finish line, their hard work truly paid off. Not only did they secure second place, but they also inspired the entire school with their dedication and drive. Spring High girls are running the show—literally!
Fri-YAY - A delicious way to kick off the weekend!
We’re all familiar with that "Friday feeling," but this time our Dekaney culinary students experienced it in an even more fantastic way! They were surprised with a sizzling $2,000 grant from Whataburger! 🍔 Isn’t that a delicious way to kick off the weekend? Absolutely!
A huge shoutout to the Spring ISD Educational Foundation and Whataburger for making this possible. Your support helps our students cook up their dreams and take their culinary skills to the next level! This marks the third year that Whataburger has funded a culinary grant in SISD, with special thanks to Jennifer Osowski, Whataburger Regional Marketing Manager, West Houston, for facilitating the grant process.
