We have had a great start to the school year this year! We enjoyed our first spirit event, at Bear Creek Skate night last night and raised $525 that will go directly towards our playground fund. Thank you to all our families who were able to show up and have a blast skating! Third grade had the highest attendance and won "sneaky recess."

We have another Spirit night coming up on Tuesday, October 15th at Mcdonald's. We hope to see you there either inside or through the drive through! Our goal is to raise a total of $5,000 for the playground. We are already $3,500 towards our goal from last year and this year's fundraising efforts. We have been able to update the track with a generous donation from Spark Park and are working on some additional equipment pieces and some shade covering on the back playground for our scholars and community to enjoy for years to come.

We had our very first "Club Friday" during the day on Friday, September 27th. It was such a joy to see all our kids in grades 1-5 pick an activity that they enjoy and have a bit of fun with their peers. Enjoy a highlight video below.

This month we have our annual Track or Treat coming up on October 25th starting at 5:30 PM. This is a fun community building event for all our families! Come with your family in their favorite costume and take home some candy.

We also will have a book character parade on October 31st. Your child can dress up in a school appropriate book character costume. Please do not send any toy weapons or face masks on this day. Your teacher will send out additional information soon.

Thank you for all you do. As you know, our vision is that Lieder Leopards are Better Together! Thank you for working together with us to make every day a little better than the last. We love you and hope to see you soon!

This month we are focused on the paradigm of Leadership. A paradigm is the way you think about a certain topic. At Lieder, we believe everyone is a leader! With fall sickness coming in, we have been extra diligent in cleaning and disinfecting classrooms to help everyone stay healthy. Thank you for helping get your children to school every day they are well. We have almost maintained our 95% overall attendance every week so far this year! We take attendance at 10:30 every day this year. Our overall average for attendance so far just dipped to 94.77%. Please help us get it back above 95%. This is a huge improvement from last year. This helps ensure every child receives quality instruction every day. Thank you! Let's keep the momentum going!

Thanks to our Title 1 funding, all Lieder students will receive free breakfast and lunch every day!

Breakfast is served daily from 8:25 to 8:45.

Parents are welcome to join their kindergarten through fifth grade students at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning October 8 for grades 1-5 and November 5 for kindergarten.
