Meet Celineise Woods - Daniels
Celineise Woods started her career in education 16 years ago. Mrs. Woods earned her B.S. in Mathematics 2004 while working a full time job. After college, she served as the Director of Secondary Education & Lead Teacher at a home for troubled teenagers in New York for 3 years. She then moved to San Antonio where she taught K4-6th graders at Eisenhauer Road Baptist School for 2 years and then moved on to the George Gervin Youth Center where she served as the Residential Services Coordinator (LCCA) & Special Education Liaison. She was a substitute teacher for Judson ISD for a few years and then decided to leave education and the workforce to be a stay at home mom.
It was the journey through the ups and downs of personal and professional life during the 2018-2019 school year that would push Mrs. Woods to yield to the tug on her heart strings and return to her first love, the classroom. She set out on a very ambitious journey to earn her Special Education certification by the beginning of the 19-20 school year while maintaining her full-time job as wife, mom, and IDEA Walzem registrar. Though she began the 19-20 school year as Walzem’s registrar, she reached her goal, earned her certification, and transitioned back into teaching. If you ask her how it feels, she’ll tell you, “It feels like home.” Her love and passion for helping shape the minds of children has allowed her to foster a deep connection with the scholars in her classroom and across the entire Walzem campus.
She attributes her success to witnessing the resiliency of her amazing mother, Yvonne, and her determination to honor the promise she made to her father in 2000 just before he succumbed to his battle with brain cancer. That promise was that she would never quit and that she would strive to be the best there was to be at whatever it was that she did.
Mrs. Woods’ life mission is to encourage others to take one step beyond what they can see, beyond what they can feel and beyond what they can touch; for in doing so, they open a whole new world of opportunity for themselves that they didn’t even know existed.
In her spare time, Celineise enjoys traveling in her RV or hanging out on the lake with her husband and two amazing sons, and of course dining at Smashin’ Crab every chance she gets.
