CMEA Weekly
October 24th, 2024
Boosterthon is in full swing!
We have our exciting and energetic fall fundraiser coming up next week!
Boosterthon is back for a fun filled Glow Dance Party for our students on October 30th. (This is not your ordinary school dance - check out this video for a sneak peek.) Leading up to the event we raise funds for the school through their online platform. We are hoping to update the technology in the classrooms with new interactive Promethean Tvs with this fundraiser.
Registration for Boostherthon is open!
⭐️ Register Now On MYBOOSTER.COM ⭐️
Be sure to check out the easy sharing functions on MYBOOSTER.COM to let others know how they can help support our school. First class to get 100% registration will win a root beer float party, and if we hit our fundraising goal of $30,000 the teachers and staff will participate in an inflatable costume race around the school! So far we are at 60% of students registered, which is awesome!! Let’s see if we can get to 100% by next week!
Congrats Squire Squad!
Each Day a new challenge is up for grabs and today 3rd Grade, Mrs. Squire's class, won the pie in the face challenge for raising the most money yesterday!
Students will be participating in the event during their Specials times, so they won’t be disrupting the whole day. Parent volunteers are not needed this year, but you are most welcome to come watch the fun! Here is the schedule:
If you are new to our school, CMEA hosts two large fundraisers, one in the fall and one in the spring. Between these two fundraisers there are optional spirit nights if your family would like to participate.
Community Survey Results
Thank you to everyone who participated in our survey to see where the funds raised from Boosterthon should be spent. We had 37 responses, and 54% of them were for the Classroom Technology Upgrade with the Promethean Tvs, so that’s what we’ll be aiming for this year! These TVs will be so helpful in the classroom, allowing both the students and teacher to be more interactive in their learning. We can’t wait to see them in action!
Upcoming Spirit Nights
We’ve got one more TUESDAY to take advantage of Rush Bowls’ give-back program! If you mention Copper Mesa next Tuesday, 10/29, we will receive 15% of your purchase, for the school! Their bowls and smoothies are delicious!
In November, we will have the opportunity to raise some money through Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers! Just mention Copper Mesa when you purchase food on November 14th and we will receive a portion of your purchase. Such an easy way to support our school and feed your family at the same time!

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students): Ongoing
Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.
The purpose of the program:
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.
KING SOOPERS CARDS
One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.
