This upcoming week we need your help! This is the week of the annual East Texas Food Bank pantry raid. We are partnering with them and Tyler Legacy High School to stock their shelves and help feed the Tyler community. Traffic Laws - Just a quick reminder to please obey all traffic laws on and around campus. Stay off your phones and make sure you are on the lookout for Husky walkers.
VIP Lunch - The PTA membership VIP lunch will be ending on Monday. After that, students qualify based upon grades/attendance/behavior. Make sure your Husky is coming to school, maintaining A's/B's, and staying out of trouble. A little free "play" is important for students, so please help us hold your Husky accountable.
Student Discipline - This week we have started counting tardies and will be calling down some students on Monday to discuss why they can't be at class on time. I also want to point out that it is imperative you talk to your students about making good choices, talking to trusted adults about issues, and staying focused on their education. We have had some Huskies make some poor decisions recently and we hate to see that!

8th grade guardians - This past week we had grade level assemblies and I reminded students of our new policy regarding our spring 8th grade recognition ceremony. In order to hold students to the highest standards for their academics and behaviors, we have adjusted those requirements. This includes passing all your classes, not having to go to DAEP, and meeting state compulsory attendance law of 90%.
Title 1 Parent Compact - Your student should have come home with their paper copy of their parent Title 1 Compact. Please sign it and have it returned. This is also featured on our website and is an agreement between the school and you to collaboratively work together in order to make your Husky successful at Hubbard. We look forward to partnering with you!
Leaving Early - If you are picking your child up early from school please do so by 3:15 p.m. We do not allow students to be checked out after 3:15 p.m. since this could hamper our dismissal procedures and ability to retrieve multiple students before the bell. The front office is closed between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m.
