November 2024
From the Principal
Greetings Viking Families,
The 2nd Quarter is underway and students engaged in athletics, after school clubs and various activities. Congratulations to all our fall sports teams and to our marching band for a wonderful season. We look forward to the start of Winter Sports and Activities. Remember that we have free tutoring available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 3:15-5:00pm in the library.
We are working on refreshing the iPads for 10th and 11th grade students, as well as getting new iPad covers to 9th and 12th grade students. The new covers come with attached keyboards for ease of use.
We continue to monitor tardies and attendance. We appreciate your support in helping students understand the importance of attending classes, engaging in learning activities and completing their work. This is an important life skill our students need as they prepare for college and/or the world of work!
Students are faced with multiple stressors as they navigate high school. If you feel your student needs additional academic or emotional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to their School Counselor, our School Social Worker, or their Administrator. We are all here to aid in each student’s success on this high school journey!
As always, we appreciate your continued support and involvement. If you have any questions, please call us 531-299-2700.

Lunch Detentions
We expect our students to 'Be a Viking' in all areas of the building. This means being respectful, responsible, and accountable. Not following these school wide expectations could result in the assignment of a lunch detention.
Lunch detentions will be held in the lecture hall. Students assigned a lunch detention will not be allowed to go to the cafeteria or Viking Center during lunch. Students will be offered a sack lunch and must follow lunch detention expectations. Failure to serve lunch detention will result in further disciplinary action.
Homework Help Room
Students planning to attend homework help room must either sign up for the late bus or make sure they have a ride home. Please see the included graphic for more information about the homework help room.
